Facebook Users Moving Messenger-It was some time ago that we reported that Facebook could be killing in-app messaging. Facebook instead prefers users to chat with the dedicated Myspace Messenger app. Facebook is currently notifying users that transition may happen over the next day or two.

Facebook hasn't put up an announcement regarding the upcoming changes. Instead they delivered a statement on to TechCrunch. Here's the message:

"In the following few days, we're continuing to be able to notify more those who if they want to send and acquire Facebook messages, they'll have to download the Messenger request. As we've mentioned, our goal should be to focus development efforts on making Messenger the most effective mobile messaging experience possible and avoid the confusion of having separate Facebook cell messaging experiences.
